To apply for a free SIM
You must complete the self-referral form at the bottom of this page: https://www.eastridinglibraries.co.uk/more-than-books/get-online/
Once submitted, the form will go to the library where they have indicated they would like to collect the data SIM from, and the library will then contact the person to arrange a suitable day and time for collection.
The data SIM has to be inserted into the recipients phone in the library and is then activated by the library staff. It not just handed over.
If anyone does not have data or a device to do this, they can use the free public access PCs in East Riding Libraries to complete the form. https://www.eastridinglibraries.co.uk/find-a-library/
The other way people will be able to apply for a SIM is if they answer a certain series of questions on the East Riding Progress Online tool. This is also located on the 'Get online' page link above and will end up with opening the self-referral form.
The free data SIM provision is not just for people who are already being supported it is for anyone who needs it.
