A new digital trial tool to help people get online, use the internet and improve their digital skills.

Do you or your service users need help to get online and don’t know where to start or do you just want to improve your digital skills?

The new East Riding Progress Online provides easy access to our local and national directory of digital help, support and training programmes across the Council, Health teams and Voluntary & Charity Sector groups and organisations.

It identifies resources available based on answers to a set of 8 simple triage questions and shows you where the nearest location is to get the help needed using just a post code.

East Riding Progress Online  helps find the right help for identified digital needs more easily. The triage tool also help to build up a map of what support is available and to highlight any gaps so that digital support can be directed to where it is needed.

How does it work?

Just visit Progress Online - East Riding (hoopd.co.uk)

The triage tool will:

  • Assess a persons needs: By answering a few simple questions, the tool understands their unique digital inclusion needs whether they are a beginner or want to improve digital skills they already have.
  • Tailor recommendations: Based on the responses, it provides personalised recommendations for East Riding based resources, training, and help - all at your fingertips.
  • Free and accessible: The tool is completely free, ensuring that everyone can use and benefit from it.

Who can use it?

It’s quick and simple to use and sign posts to exactly what service people need to get and progress online.  Using the tool also helps to build up a picture of where in person support is available and highlight any gaps that support is needed digital help can be directed where it's needed.

Community, voluntary and social enterprise sector:

We’ve designed this tool with the broader community in mind. Community organisations, volunteers, and advocates can use it to support our residents by linking them to the digital help and support they need to progress and have safe and fair access to the internet.

Do you provide FREE help for people to get online?

If you offer a service to help people to get online and your service is not shown on the Triage Tool, or you have a new service you'd like to promote on the Triage Tool to people living in the East Riding, you can join as a Digital Inclusion partner.
