Funding Opportunity: The Prudence Trust Opens Grants of up to £300,000 for Youth Mental Health
If your organisation is working to improve the mental health and wellbeing of young people facing disadvantage, a significant funding opportunity is currently available through The Prudence Trust.
The Trust is offering grants of £30,000 to £300,000 per year, for up to three years, to charities and Community Interest Companies (CICs) across the UK that are making a meaningful difference to the mental health of young people aged 8 to 30.
Who Can Apply?
The fund is open to:
- Registered charities
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
Organisations must be delivering work that supports the mental health of young people aged 8–30, particularly those experiencing disadvantage or facing barriers to accessing support.
What is the Trust Looking to Fund?
The Prudence Trust is interested in organisations that are helping young people achieve better mental health outcomes through evidence-informed, impactful and inclusive approaches.
Projects might include:
- Early intervention and prevention programmes
- Community-based mental health support
- Peer support initiatives
- Counselling and therapeutic services
- Programmes that improve resilience and emotional wellbeing
- Innovative approaches to supporting young people's mental health
- Services reaching groups who experience inequality or additional barriers to support
The Trust is particularly interested in work that has the potential to create lasting change and improve outcomes for young people.
Funding Available
Successful organisations can apply for:
- £30,000–£300,000 per year
- Funding for up to three years
This longer-term funding can provide organisations with greater stability, allowing them to develop services, invest in staff and build sustainable programmes that create meaningful impact.
Rolling Applications
Unlike many grant programmes, there is no application deadline.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis throughout the year, meaning organisations can apply when they are ready rather than working towards a fixed funding round.
However, as demand for funding is expected to be high, organisations are encouraged to begin preparing their applications as early as possible.
