£30 Million Available Through the Ofgem Energy Redress Scheme
Applications are now open for the latest funding round of the Ofgem Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme, with £30 million available to support charities, community organisations and community energy groups across England, Scotland and Wales.
Managed by Energy Saving Trust on behalf of Ofgem, the scheme distributes funds collected through Ofgem's enforcement and compliance activity when energy companies breach regulatory rules. Since launching in 2018, the programme has awarded more than £213 million to projects helping households reduce energy costs, stay warm and cut carbon emissions.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible applicants include:
* Registered charities
* Community Interest Companies (CICs)
* Community Benefit Societies
* Co-operative Societies
* Community energy organisations
Projects should support one or more of the scheme's key priorities:
* Helping households most at risk from cold homes and high energy bills
* Developing innovative energy-related products and services
* Reducing carbon emissions and supporting the transition to net zero
* Delivering community renewable energy projects that benefit vulnerable households
Funding Available
Main Fund (£19 million)
Grants from £50,000 to £2 million
For projects supporting households in vulnerable situations
Impact Fund (£1 million)
Grants from £20,000 to £500,000
For projects measuring and evidencing the impact of energy advice and related interventions
Small Project Fund (£1 million)
Grants from £20,000 to £49,999
For smaller-scale projects supporting vulnerable households
Innovation Fund (£4.5 million)
Grants from £20,000 to £1 million
For innovative energy products and services
Carbon Emissions Reduction Fund (£3 million)
Grants from £20,000 to £1 million
For projects helping households reduce their carbon footprint
Key Dates
The funding round opened on **2 June 2026** and closes at **5pm on 23 June 2026**.
Organisations may submit **one application as lead partner per funding round**, regardless of which fund they apply to.
