A new funding opportunity has been launched to support organisations working with young people at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness across the UK. The Young Futures Fund offers vital financial support to help improve access to safe housing and provide the tools young people need to build independent, stable lives
What is the Young Futures Fund?
The Young Futures Fund is designed to back practical, frontline projects that make a real difference to young people aged 16 to 25. The focus is on helping individuals not only find safe accommodation, but also develop the skills and confidence needed to sustain tenancies and move towards long-term independence.
How Much Funding is Available?
Organisations can apply for:
- Grants between £5,000 and £40,000
- Funding for one-year projects
This funding is intended to support impactful, targeted interventions that respond directly to the needs of young people experiencing housing instability.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to:
- UK-based charities and not-for-profit organisations
- Organisations working directly with young people aged 16–25
Groups delivering frontline services, particularly those with:
- Strong local connections
- A clear understanding of the challenges young people face
Priority is given to organisations embedded in their communities and already making a difference on the ground.
What Can the Funding Support?
The fund is flexible and can support a wide range of activities, including:
- Providing or increasing access to accommodation
- Supporting tenancy sustainment
- Delivering life skills and independence training
- Creating pathways into employment, education or training
The emphasis is on practical, outcomes-focused support that helps young people secure stable housing and build brighter futures.

The application process begins with an Expression of Interest (EOI).
