SHoRes Homecare invites the community to Dementia Awareness Day
SHoRes Homecare Ltd is bringing together a range of friendly, accessible activities, information and expert support at its upcoming Dementia Awareness Day on Wednesday 16 September.
The event is designed for people living with dementia, their families, carers and anyone who would like to know more about the support available locally. Visitors can meet the local Alzheimer’s Society team, speak with experts, pick up useful information and enjoy activities throughout the day in a welcoming setting.
There will be something for everyone to explore, including an interactive virtual table, live keynote speakers, virtual interactive pets, VR training and accessible games. It is an opportunity to ask questions, discover new approaches and connect with others who understand the realities of dementia and caring for a loved one.
A dementia bus will also be available, offering a powerful interactive experience. Spaces are limited, so booking is essential. To book, please call 01964 611602.
The day is being delivered in partnership with Proactive Care Team Holderness Health, Recreo VR, SHoRes Centre and Alzheimer’s Society, with funding from East Yorkshire’s Do It For East Yorkshire programme.
Whether you are looking for practical advice, local connections or simply a chance to find out more, please come along and join the conversation.
