Could Your Group Receive the King’s Award for Voluntary Service?
Nominations are now open for the 2027 King’s Award for Voluntary Service – the highest recognition available to volunteer-led groups across the UK.
The award celebrates outstanding local volunteer groups that make a real difference in their communities. It is a wonderful opportunity to recognise the people who give their time, energy and care to support others, strengthen community life and create positive change.
If you are part of a volunteer-led group, or know of a group doing exceptional work in Hull or East Yorkshire, you are invited to find out more at a free online webinar hosted in the presence of His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire.
Free webinar: Wednesday 9 September, 4pm–5pm
The session will include:
- An introduction to the King’s Award for Voluntary Service and the nomination process
- Experiences from three local award-winning groups
- Insight into the value and impact that recognition can bring to a group and its volunteers
- An opportunity to understand whether an application may be right for your organisation
To receive the webinar link, email your name and group details to erlieutenancy@eastriding.gov.uk.
This is a great chance to celebrate the voluntary groups at the heart of our communities and explore whether their contribution could receive the recognition it deserves.
