Engagement Opportunity: Community-Led Prevention Service
Engagement Opportunity: Community-Led Prevention Service
We are pleased to share an exciting opportunity for organisations across the VCSE sector to get involved in shaping a new Community-Led Prevention Service, commissioned by the HEY Smile Foundation.
Following a formal invitation shared with partners (please refer to the attached letter for full details ), VCSE organisations are invited to attend an upcoming Engagement Event to help inform the development of this important new programme.
About the Opportunity
This new initiative focuses on supporting adults who are:
- Seeking support
- Waiting for services
- At risk of needing Adult Social Care intervention
The aim is to strengthen early intervention, reduce pressure on statutory services, and build on the strengths already within our communities.
The VCSE sector plays a vital role in this work — bringing trusted relationships, local knowledge, and innovative approaches that can make a real difference in people’s lives.
As outlined in the letter, HEY Smile Foundation will act as the lead infrastructure organisation, coordinating delivery through a network of local partners, while providing:
- Commissioning and contract management
- Safeguarding and quality assurance
- System coordination with Adult Social Care
- Data, impact reporting, and shared learning
Why Attend the Engagement Event?
This session is a key part of the pre-commissioning process and offers organisations the chance to:
- Learn more about the proposed service model
- Understand the commissioning approach
- Review early draft specifications
- Ask questions and share insights
- Help shape how the service will be designed and delivered
There will also be opportunities to express interest in becoming a local delivery partner.
Your voice is crucial in ensuring the service is practical, proportionate, and reflects the strengths of the VCSE sector.
Who Should Attend?
We are keen to hear from:
- VCSE organisations interested in becoming delivery partners
- Groups already supporting people in their communities
- Organisations with experience in navigation, prevention, or community-based support
