Humber Bridge Country Park Dementia Access Evaluation Project 16th-17th April
We are pleased to share an upcoming opportunity taking place at Humber Bridge Country Park this April, focused on improving accessibility for people living with dementia.
Led by Dementia Adventure, the Dementia Access Evaluation Project will take place on 16th and 17th April 2026, bringing together partners, professionals and people with lived experience to explore how accessible the park is and how it can be improved.
This is a really important piece of work. It is about listening to real experiences, understanding barriers, and making practical changes so that more people can confidently access and enjoy outdoor spaces.
What to expect
The sessions will begin at the Humber Wellbeing Hub, which will act as the main meeting point for the day . From there, participants will:
- Take part in a guided walk around the park
- Share feedback on accessibility, signage and overall experience
- Explore what information people need before visiting
- Reflect on what works well and what could be improved
The day is designed to be relaxed and inclusive, with refreshments provided on arrival and throughout the session
Get involved
If you have an interest in accessibility, inclusion or supporting people living with dementia, this is a great opportunity to be part of a conversation that will shape future improvements.
