VCSE

Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of local people – and now there are even more opportunities to help individuals and families access the brain-health information they need.

The Alzheimer’s Society is running a series of free monthly pop-in sessions across the East Riding, offering friendly, accessible advice for anyone concerned about their own or a loved one’s brain health, or looking for information about dementia. These drop-ins require no appointment, making them an easy and welcoming way for people to seek guidance, ask questions, or be signposted to further support.

What the Sessions Offer

These informal sessions are a chance for community members to:

  • discuss concerns around memory or cognition
  • find out more about dementia symptoms, diagnosis and living well
  • access local support services
  • speak with trained staff in a relaxed, confidential setting

They also provide a useful touchpoint for VCSE organisations who support older adults, carers, or people living with long-term conditions, helping you connect individuals to early, preventative information and timely support.
