Burton Pidsea Wind Farm Community Fund now open

Community groups and organisations in Holderness can now apply to the Burton Pidsea Wind Farm Community Fund.

The fund receives around £20,400 each year from EnergieKontor UK Ltd and supports projects that bring a clear public benefit to local communities. It is particularly suited to educational, environmental, energy-efficiency and wider community initiatives.

Grants of up to £1,000 are available through the Small Grants Fund, while the Main Fund offers grants from £1,001 up to £10,000. Although up to 100% of project costs may be considered in some circumstances, applications showing a contribution through cash, volunteer time, donated equipment or free use of a venue are likely to be looked on more favourably.

The fund is open to charities, community groups, schools, parish councils, faith groups and community organisations. New groups and emerging project ideas may also be considered, but individuals cannot apply.

Applications are welcomed from across Mid Holderness, North Holderness, South East Holderness and South West Holderness, with priority given to initiatives close to the wind farm development — defined as within five kilometres of The Garage, HU12 9AX

The Main Fund and Small Grants Fund are open until 31 March 2027, subject to funding remaining available. Small grant applications are usually processed within around 14 days once all supporting information has been provided.
