This September, we are supporting the Humber in hosting its first-ever Festival of Hope – a week of events to raise awareness of self-harm and suicide prevention, celebrate resilience, and bring communities together.

Led by Humber Wellbeing Hub CIC and the Blossom Self-Harm and Suicide Prevention Service, the Festival places a spotlight on mental health in the area.

At its heart is the arrival of the Baton of Hope – the UK’s largest suicide prevention initiative and a symbol of remembrance and resilience – a first for our region.

Festival highlights include:

• Walk for Hope (10 Sept, Hull – East Park to Humber Wellbeing Hub) – See map

• Business for Hope (11 Sept – free suicide prevention training for workplaces)

• Hope in Education (12 Sept – schools & colleges promoting awareness)

• Wellbeing Weekend (13–14 Sept – yoga, reiki, crafts & more at Humber Wellbeing Hub) – Full details via Eventbrite here

• Festival Finale (15 Sept, Humber Bridge – live music, stalls, family fun, Baton of Hope, and candlelit vigil). – See flier

Everyone is also encouraged to complete the free TalkSuicide online training HERE.

Together, we can spread hope and save lives.
