New grants are available for local communities.

As part of the ‘Thriving Places Fund’, supported by the government’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), including the Rural England Prosperity Fund (REPF). Grants will be between £5,000 and £20,000 to support new creative, community-led initiatives.

Funding Body

• Funded by the UK Government through the Ministry of Housing, Communities, and Local Government.

• Managed by East Riding of Yorkshire Council.

Fund Purpose

• Aims to revitalise local areas in East Riding by enhancing economic activity and community wellbeing.

• Supports initiatives under themes like improving town centres, investing in community infrastructure, and boosting tourism.

Application Details

• Full applications open on 19 May 2025 and close at noon on 25 June 2025.

• Minimum funding request is £5,000, and maximum is £20,000.

• Projects must be completed by 31 December 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

• Private sector companies cannot apply; applicants must be legally constituted organisations.

• Projects must demonstrate community engagement and sustainability.

• All project costs must comply with funding body rules and maintain an audit trail.

Outputs and Outcomes

• Outputs include the number of facilities created or improved and increased visitor numbers.

• Outcomes focus on increased use of amenities and visitor spending.
