RYCA Awards 2026: Nominations Now Open

Do you know a young person, youth group or community project making a difference for the environment?

The Regional Youth Climate Assembly (RYCA) Awards 2026 are now open for nominations, celebrating young people and youth groups across Yorkshire and Humber who are taking meaningful action on climate change.

From practical local projects to larger-scale initiatives, the awards are an opportunity to recognise the energy, ideas and commitment of young people helping to build a more sustainable future.

Nominations are invited across five categories:

• Environmental Education
• Promoting Public Transport and Active Travel
• Green Skills and Jobs
• Protecting Wildlife and Biodiversity
• Climate Action and Community Projects

If your organisation works with young people, please consider making a nomination and sharing this opportunity with schools, colleges, youth groups and community contacts.

The RYCA Awards Celebration Showcase will take place on Saturday 7 November 2026. The afternoon will celebrate the shortlisted work, with project showcases and networking opportunities. Further details and an Eventbrite booking link will be shared soon.
