Have Your Say: Help Improve Patient Advice and Liaison Services (PALS)
Healthwatch is asking local people to share their experiences of the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) to help understand what is working well and where improvements may be needed.
The Your Health, Our Priority PALS Survey covers services across Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire.
What is PALS?
The Patient Advice and Liaison Service is there to support patients, their families and carers when they need advice, information or help relating to NHS services.
People may contact PALS to ask questions, raise a concern, find out who they need to speak to or get help resolving an issue with their care.
Healthwatch wants to understand people's experiences of using this support.
Why your experience matters
Feedback from patients, families and carers can provide valuable insight into how accessible and effective services are in practice.
The survey will help Healthwatch understand how well PALS is working for local people and where changes could improve people's experiences.
Whether your experience was positive, you encountered difficulties, or you think something could have been done differently, your feedback can help build a clearer picture of the service across our area.

Your experience matters – have your say and help Healthwatch understand how PALS can work better for patients and their families.
VCSE organisations – please help spread the word
Voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations are often supporting people who have experience of health and care services but who may not routinely take part in consultations or surveys.
If you work with patients, carers, families or communities who may have used PALS, please consider sharing the survey through your networks, groups, newsletters and social media.
Helping people to have their say can make sure that a wider range of experiences and voices are heard.
