Volunteers Invited to Help Care for St Mary’s Graveyard
Molescroft Wildlife Network is inviting local residents and community volunteers to join a Volunteer Working Party at St Mary’s Graveyard, Molescroft Road, on Thursday 13 August 2026. The event forms part of ongoing efforts to enhance biodiversity and improve this important local green space through practical conservation work.
Working alongside members of Molescroft Wildlife Network and conservation partners, volunteers will help clear cut vegetation, rake and remove grass arisings, and support habitat management activities that encourage native wildflowers and wildlife to thrive. Similar volunteer days have played an important role in delivering the ecological management plans for the site and maintaining St Mary’s Graveyard as a haven for nature.
No specialist experience is required, just a willingness to get involved, meet new people and make a positive difference for local wildlife. The event is a great opportunity to contribute to community-led environmental action while enjoying time outdoors.
Molescroft Wildlife Network works with local organisations, volunteers and conservation partners to protect and restore nature across the parish, with St Mary’s Graveyard being one of its key focus sites.
