CLOSING SOON Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme Reopens for 2026
Organisations working with veterans now have an opportunity to secure significant funding through the Reducing Veteran Homelessness Programme 2026, provided by the Office for Veterans' Affairs (OVA) and managed by The Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust.
The programme aims to strengthen supported housing provision for veterans who are experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. This year's funding places a particular focus on improving the availability and quality of accommodation and support for veterans with complex and multiple needs, helping those who face the greatest barriers to accessing and sustaining suitable housing.
Programme Outcomes
Funded projects will be expected to contribute towards the following outcomes:
- Veterans experiencing or at risk of homelessness achieve improved long-term housing stability through access to appropriate supported housing and wraparound support, reducing the risk of repeat homelessness.
- The supported housing system for veterans operates more effectively, with improved flow through services, reduced bottlenecks and increased capacity. Projects should demonstrate how they will support quicker access to suitable services and help veterans progress towards independent living.
Funding Available
The level of funding available reflects the level of need the project is designed to address:
- Up to £1.25 million for organisations supporting veterans with high levels of complex and multiple needs.
- Up to £750,000 for organisations supporting veterans with low to medium levels of need, or a combination of low, medium and more complex needs.
Projects can run for up to two years and three months.
