Charities across the UK have just a short window left to apply for grants of up to £100,000 through the ScottishPower Foundation's Annual Grants Programme.

The ScottishPower Foundation has opened its 2027 Annual Grants Fund, offering grants of between £50,000 and £100,000 to registered charities delivering projects that create lasting social and environmental impact across the UK.

With applications closing at 12 noon on Friday 24 July 2026, or earlier if 350 applications are received, eligible organisations are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

Who can apply?

The programme is open to charities that:

  • Have been registered with a UK charity regulator for at least two full years
  • Have an annual income of between £100,000 and £5 million
  • Have an active board of at least three unrelated trustees
  • Can deliver a project within the UK between 31 March and 31 December 2027, with completion within 12 months.

What projects will be funded?

Projects must contribute to at least one of the Scottish Power Foundation's strategic outcomes for 2026–2029.

Education, Training and Research

Projects that improve access to opportunities and employability, including:

  • STEM learning opportunities for disadvantaged or underrepresented groups
  • Employability and skills development
Biodiversity and Environment

Projects that:

  • Help people protect the environment
  • Encourage sustainable behaviours and waste reduction
  • Protect natural habitats
  • Support wildlife conservation


Art and Culture

Funding is available for projects that:

  • Preserve cultural heritage
  • Improve access to arts and culture for disadvantaged communities

Social Action

Projects supporting:

  • Households experiencing poverty
  • Disabled people and those living with long-term health conditions
  • Older people
  • Social inclusion and reducing poverty

New Technologies

Projects that:

  • Reduce digital exclusion
  • Improve access to technology
  • Support creative use of digital technologies among disadvantaged communities.
