Families Invited to Help Shape the Future of Children's Centres and Family Hubs in the East Riding
Parents, carers and families across the East Riding are being encouraged to have their say on the future of local Children's Centres and Family Hubs.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has launched a public consultation to better understand how families currently use Children's Centres and Family Hubs, what services are most valued, and where improvements could be made. The feedback will help shape how support is delivered for local families in the years ahead.
Why Your Voice Matters
Family Hubs are designed to provide a welcoming place where families can access advice, activities and support from pregnancy through to early adulthood.
Whether you currently attend sessions, have used a Children's Centre in the past, or have never accessed these services, your experiences and opinions are important.
The consultation is asking families about:
- Which Children's Centres and Family Hubs they currently use.
- The services and activities they find most helpful.
- What additional support they would like to see.
- Whether some services could be delivered in community venues such as schools, libraries or church halls, making support even more accessible.
Supporting Families Across the East Riding
Family Hubs bring together a wide range of support in one place, including:
- Pregnancy and early years support
- Parenting advice
- Baby and toddler groups
- Health and wellbeing services
- Family activities
- Information, guidance and signposting
- Financial and practical support
The aim is to ensure families can access the right help at the right time, helping children get the best possible start in life
Have Your Say
The consultation is open until 10 August 2026, and completing the survey only takes a few minutes.
By sharing your views, you'll be helping shape services that support children, young people and families across the East Riding for years to come.
