Barchester Healthcare Foundation Opens for Applications
Small community groups and local charities can now apply for grants of up to £2,600 through the Barchester Healthcare Foundation's latest funding round.
The Foundation supports projects that help reduce isolation and loneliness, encourage social interaction, and improve the mobility and quality of life of older people and adults living with physical, learning, or mental disabilities.
Funding is available for a wide range of activities that bring people together and support participation within local communities.
What Can Be Funded?
Grants of £100 to £2,600 can be used for:
- Community activities and group sessions
- Equipment and materials for members to use
- Transport costs to help people attend activities
- Day trips and outings
- Group holidays within the UK
The Foundation is particularly keen to support innovative projects that help older people and disabled adults become more active, make social connections, and reduce feelings of isolation.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are welcomed from:
- Small community groups
- Small local charities
Organisations must be based in England, Scotland, or Wales.
Please note that organisations with financial reserves exceeding £200,000 are unlikely to receive funding.
Application Window
The Barchester Healthcare Foundation now operates a quarterly grants programme.
The current application window is open from:
1 July 2026 – 31 July 2026
Eligible organisations are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date.
