If your organisation works with children and young people in the East Riding of Yorkshire, now is a great time to explore the Our Place – Youth Fund, part of the Do it for East Yorkshire (DIFEY) programme.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council has launched Round 2 of the fund, providing £100,000 to support new and additional youth activities that help young people thrive in their communities.

Who is the Fund For?

The fund is designed to support projects working with:

  • Young people aged 10–19 years
  • Care leavers up to the age of 25
  • Young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Projects should provide new or additional activities, rather than replacing existing provision, and align with the five recognised pillars of youth work:

  • Educative
  • Expressive
  • Participative
  • Inclusive
  • Empowering

How Much Can You Apply For?

Funding is available for:

  • £1,500 to £5,000 for revenue projects
  • Up to £10,000 for small capital projects

A total of £100,000 is available through this funding round, supporting projects that will be delivered between September 2026 and June 2027.

What Could You Use the Funding For?

The fund is flexible and can support a wide variety of youth-focused activities, including:

  • Sports, recreation and leisure programmes
  • Music, drama and creative arts projects
  • Outdoor learning and environmental activities
  • Digital projects
  • Mental health, wellbeing and resilience programmes
  • Street-based outreach work
  • Equipment needed to deliver activities
  • Sessional staff costs to support delivery

Whether you're looking to start a new youth club, expand an existing programme, deliver creative workshops or develop activities for young people with SEND, this funding could help bring your ideas to life.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are welcomed from a range of organisations, including:

  • Voluntary and community groups
  • Registered charities and Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIOs)
  • Community Interest Companies (CICs)
  • Youth organisations
  • Town and parish councils
