The Foundation offers grants to UK registered charities delivering projects that improve homes and community spaces for people experiencing disadvantage, helping to create places where people feel safe, supported and have a sense of belonging.
What Can Be Funded?
The B&Q Foundation supports projects that provide, maintain, repair or improve spaces used by people experiencing:
- Financial hardship
- Disability
- Ill health
- Homelessness
- Other forms of disadvantage or distress
Funding can support projects such as:
- Decorating and refurbishing buildings
- Creating new rooms or welcoming community spaces
- Improving accessibility
- Upgrading fixtures and fittings
- Creating sensory or community gardens
- Essential repairs and improvements
- Making accommodation safer and more comfortable
The Foundation's focus is on creating environments where people can feel at home and access the support they need
How Much Can You Apply For?
The B&Q Foundation typically offers:
- Up to £10,000 for building or indoor improvement projects.
- Up to £5,000 for garden projects.
In exceptional circumstances, the Foundation may consider larger awards where there is a strong case for impact.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to UK registered charities working directly with people in need.
Please note that Community Interest Companies (CICs) and unregistered community groups are not eligible for this particular fund.
