Join the HEY Smile Foundation Team: Growing Green & Blue Health Development Officer
HEY Smile Foundation is recruiting two Growing Green & Blue Health Development Officers to support community organisations, strengthen green social prescribing and help more people access the health benefits of nature across Hull and East Yorkshire.

About the Role
The Growing Green & Blue Health programme works alongside voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations that deliver activities in parks, woodlands, community gardens, rivers, coastlines and other natural environments.
The successful candidates will help to:
- Support community organisations delivering outdoor and nature-based activities
- Strengthen connections between the VCSE sector and health services
- Promote the benefits of green and blue health approaches
- Build relationships with partners across Hull and East Yorkshire
- Help develop sustainable community-based health and wellbeing opportunities
- Support organisations to become more confident in receiving referrals from healthcare professionals
The role offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of organisations, from community gardens and walking groups to environmental charities and wellbeing projects.

Over recent years, HEY Smile Foundation has led significant work across Humber and North Yorkshire to increase the use of green social prescribing and nature-based approaches to health. This has included supporting community organisations, working alongside healthcare partners and helping to build the evidence base around the benefits of outdoor activity and connection with nature.
The Growing Green & Blue Health programme has already supported organisations across the region to strengthen their offer, develop new skills and create more opportunities for people to improve their health and wellbeing through nature-based activities.
