Do It for East Yorkshire Fund reopens with £200,000 for local community groups
Voluntary and community groups across the East Riding can now apply for grants of £1,500 to £5,000 through the reopened Do It for East Yorkshire Community Fund.
Voluntary and community organisations across the East Riding are being encouraged to apply for the Do It for East Yorkshire Community Fund, which has reopened with £200,000 available to support local community-led projects.
The fund, relaunched by East Riding of Yorkshire Council in response to ongoing cost of living pressures, will support new and pilot activity that strengthens local communities and delivers positive social impact. Grants of £1,500 to £5,000 are available for voluntary and community groups, charities, and town and parish councils across the East Riding.
Projects supported through the fund could include activities that improve community spaces, increase accessibility, strengthen volunteering, support culture, improve safety, or enhance green spaces. Examples given by the council include creative events and festivals, health and wellbeing initiatives, accessible paths, community safety projects, and environmental improvements.
All funded projects must be fully completed and financially closed by Sunday 31 January 2027. Applications are open until Wednesday 30 September 2026, or until all funding has been allocated.
Groups interested in applying are encouraged to contact the council’s Local Growth Team before submitting an application to check eligibility and suitability. Initial enquiries should be sent to difey@eastriding.gov.uk
Further information is available through East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s grants and funding pages, and groups can also search for other funding opportunities through East Riding 4 Community
Community groups interested in applying should contact difey@eastriding.gov.ukas soon as possible to discuss their project idea before submitting an application.
