Supporting Grief and Bereavement – CPD Training for Professionals

ME 2 U Therapeutic Services is delivering a two‑day CPD workshop for VCSE professionals, staff and volunteers who support people experiencing grief, bereavement, and loss.

Taking place on 16 & 17 May 2026 in Leven, this in‑person course combines theory with practical tools, while also recognising the emotional impact bereavement work can have on those providing support.

Participants can attend one or both days, covering:

Day 1 – Understanding Grief and Bereavement

A theory‑focused day exploring:

• What grief is, including the Five Stages of Grief
• Pre‑bereavement and anticipatory loss
• Normal, prolonged and disenfranchised grief
• Continuing bonds and key grief models
• Self‑care when working with grief and loss

Day 2 – Practical Support in Grief and Loss

• A practice‑focused day looking at compassionate and effective ways to support individuals through their personal experiences of grief, bereavement and loss. 

The training costs £80 per day or £150 for both days, and a CPD certificate is provided. 

The workshop is facilitated by Rachel Cunningham (BACP Accredited) and Shelly Findley (UKCP Accredited).
