Age Without Limits Day 2026: Start the Conversation

10 June 2026 is fast approaching, which means it’s time to start thinking about how you, your organisation, or your community can take part in Age Without Limits Day—a growing national moment to challenge how we think about ageing.

This Year’s Theme: The Power of Asking Questions

In 2026, the focus is simple but powerful: asking questions to challenge ageism.

Everyday assumptions about age often go unchallenged—but small, thoughtful questions can help shift perspectives:

Why do we associate innovation with being young?

Why do we label people by their generation?

Why do we say “you look good for your age” instead of just “you look good”?

Why are older people underrepresented in media and advertising?

These questions encourage us to pause, reflect, and rethink attitudes that have become so normalised we barely notice them.

Why It Matters

Ageism can impact confidence, opportunities, health, and wellbeing. By opening up conversations, we can help build communities where people of all ages feel valued, visible, and included.

For the VCSE sector, this is a powerful opportunity to:

• Celebrate the contributions of older people
• Challenge stereotypes within services and communities

How You Can Get Involved

Whether you’re planning something big or keeping it simple, every action counts. Here are a few ideas to get started:

Bring the theme into an existing group or activity

Host a workplace coffee morning or discussion session

Start a conversation with friends, family, or colleagues

Use social media to share your questions and reflections

You don’t need a large event—sometimes the most meaningful impact starts with a single conversation.
