Charities supporting the armed forces community can now apply for funding through the Big Salute Grants Programme, delivered by the British Forces Broadcasting Service.

What Is the Big Salute Grants Programme?

The programme provides funding to help charities address the unique challenges faced by people connected to the armed forces.

This includes support for:

  • Serving personnel (regular and reservists)
  • Veterans
  • Military families

Projects should focus on delivering meaningful, measurable impact—improving wellbeing, connection, and support for those within the military community.

How Much Funding Is Available?

  • Grants of up to £10,000
  • Projects must demonstrate clear outcomes within one year
  • Activities must begin after January 2027

Who Can Apply?

This funding is aimed at:

  • Charities with an annual income under £1 million
  • Organisations delivering projects that directly benefit the armed forces community
