Asda Foundation Local Community Spaces Fund Now Open
What is the Fund About?
The programme is designed to support local organisations to improve, repair or develop community spaces so they can continue delivering essential services.
Funding can be used for:
Repair and maintenance – helping keep facilities safe and usable
Expansion and improvement – adapting spaces to better meet local needs
This is about making sure community venues remain welcoming, accessible and fit for purpose—now and in the future.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, organisations must:
- Be a registered charity, Community Interest Company (CIC) or Community Benefit Society
- Have been established for at least three years
- Have an annual income between £40,000 and £400,000
The fund is particularly focused on spaces that support:
- People experiencing homelessness
- Food banks and community kitchens
- Older people and those living with dementia
- Communities facing high levels of deprivation
How Much Funding is Available?
Grants of £10,000 to £20,000 are available and can fully fund your project.
Organisations can also contribute their own funds (up to £20,000), but this is optional and must be confirmed at the point of application.
