We’re pleased to share an opportunity from Yorkshire Water that could make a real difference to the individuals and families you support.

Their Community Engagement Team is delivering free online support scheme presentations, designed specifically for organisations, staff teams and volunteers who are in a position to help others access essential support.

What is the session about?

These interactive online sessions (lasting around 45–60 minutes) provide a clear overview of the financial and non-financial support available through Yorkshire Water. The aim is simple: to help you better signpost people to the help they need.

This is particularly useful for anyone working with:

  • Families on low incomes
  • Individuals facing financial hardship
  • Tenants, students or vulnerable customers
  • People struggling with bills or debt

What support is available?

Yorkshire Water offers a wide range of help, including:

  • Financial support:
  • Bill caps to make costs more manageable
  • Flexible payment plans
  • Payment breaks during difficult periods
  • Debt support, including matched payments and charitable contributions
  • Non-financial support:
  • Free bottled water delivery in certain circumstances
  • Bills in accessible formats
  • Additional services tailored to individual needs

These schemes can be life-changing for those who may not know they exist, which is why improving awareness across the VCSE sector is so important.
