Bringing Health and Wellbeing Together in Hedon
Strong communities are built on connection, support and access to the right services at the right time. A fantastic opportunity is coming up for organisations across the VCSE sector to do just that, right in the heart of Hedon.
Hedon Methodist Church and Community Hub will be hosting a Community Health & Wellbeing Event on Saturday 9th May, 10am – 2pm, bringing together local groups, services and residents for a day focused on improving health, wellbeing and community connection.
An Opportunity to Connect with Your Community
This event has been organised to support residents of Hedon and the surrounding villages by creating a space where people can easily access information, advice and support. It is also a valuable opportunity for VCSE organisations to engage directly with local people and showcase the work they do.
Organisations taking part will be provided with a table in the church hall, offering the chance to:
Promote services and activities
Share information, guidance and support
Speak directly with residents about how you can help
Get Involved
If your organisation would like to take part, or if you would like to find out more, you can contact Seonaid Atkinson, Community Manager, via email at community@hedonmethodistchurch.org.uk or by telephone on 07903 633904.

Why Get Involved
Events like this are more than just a stall in a room. They are about visibility, accessibility and building trust within communities. For many residents, this may be their first introduction to the support available locally. For organisations, it is a chance to build relationships, strengthen networks and reach people who may not otherwise engage.
With a wide range of services expected, the event will reflect the strength and diversity of the VCSE sector and its role in supporting healthier, more connected communities.
At VCSE.uk, we are always pleased to share opportunities like this. If you have an event, funding opportunity or local news to promote, please send it through to us. Together, we can continue to strengthen our sector and support our communities.
