VCSE

Small charities and social enterprises across the UK can now to apply for funding through The Fore, with registration for the next round opening on 25 March 2026.

This programme offers a valuable opportunity for grassroots organisations with an income under £500,000 to access unrestricted funding. This means groups can use the funding in the way that best supports their work, whether that is strengthening core operations, building resilience, or scaling up impact.

What’s on offer

The Fore focuses on supporting organisations that are making a real difference in their communities and are ready to grow or adapt. Funding can be used to:

  • Strengthen organisational capacity
  • Improve sustainability and resilience
  • Expand or develop existing services
  • Invest in systems, staff or infrastructure

The programme is open to charities and social enterprises across all sectors, with a particular interest in organisations supporting underserved communities.

How to apply

Organisations must first register their interest when the fund opens. From there, a selection of applicants will be invited to submit a full application.

You can find full details and register via the original source here: https://www.thefore.org/apply-for-funding/

Why this matters

Unrestricted funding is increasingly rare, and for many VCSE organisations it can be transformational. It allows flexibility, stability and the ability to respond to real community need without being tied to strict project outputs.

For smaller organisations across our area, this is a strong opportunity to secure funding that supports long-term impact, not just short-term delivery.
