Final Decision on Urgent Treatment Centres in Bridlington and Goole
A final decision has now been made by the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership regarding the future of Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs) in Bridlington and Goole.
Following consultation with local communities, health professionals and stakeholders, plans have been confirmed to move forward with changes to how urgent care services are delivered across the area.
These changes are intended to ensure services are safe, sustainable and able to meet demand, while making the best use of available clinical staff and resources.
Opening times:
Bridlington Urgent Treatment Centre will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Goole Urgent Treatment Centre will be open 12 hours a day (8am – 8pm), 7 days a week
For our communities across East Riding, including Goole, this is an important moment. Access to urgent care affects everyone, and it is vital that local voices have helped shape these decisions. While change can feel uncertain, the aim is to provide clearer pathways to the right care, at the right time, in the right place.
As a VCSE sector, we have an important role to play in supporting people to understand these changes, helping communities navigate services and ensuring that those who may face barriers are not left behind. Strong local partnerships and clear communication will be key as these plans are implemented.
We will continue to share updates and support organisations across our network to respond and advocate for the needs of local people.
