Funding Opportunity: Barclays Community Sport Fund OPEN NOW
VCSE organisations and community groups across the UK are invited to apply for the Barclays Community Sport Fund (Access Grant), a funding programme designed to tackle inequalities in sport and physical activity.
Delivered in partnership with Sported, this fund focuses on creating more opportunities for women and girls to get involved in sport, particularly in communities where access is limited.
About the Fund
The Access Grant offers £1,000 to support the delivery or development of football, tennis or cricket activities for women and girls.
This funding can be used to:
- Launch new activities
- Expand existing sessions
- Remove barriers to participation
- Engage new audiences who may not otherwise access sport
The programme is part of a wider commitment to making sport more inclusive, accessible and representative.
Who Can Apply?
Eligible organisations include:
- Charities
- Community and voluntary groups
- Youth organisations
- Traditional sports clubs
Deliver (or plan to deliver) football, cricket or tennis activities for women and girls
Be based in or working within an area of high deprivation
Projects supporting women and girls with disabilities or those experiencing rural isolation may also be considered, even if they are not located in areas of high deprivation.
Please note, only one grant per organisation is available.
