Smaller charities working on the frontline of homelessness support can now access funding through the Help the Homeless Grant Scheme, a programme designed to help people rebuild their lives and successfully reintegrate into their communities.

This funding is particularly valuable for grassroots organisations delivering practical, on-the-ground support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

About the Fund

Help the Homeless is a small, independent grant-making charity with a clear focus on supporting projects that make a tangible difference. Their funding is aimed at charities that are working directly with people experiencing homelessness and are committed to long-term positive outcomes.

Grants of up to £5,000 are available, with a focus on capital projects. This includes:

  • Refurbishment of buildings or spaces
  • Purchase of furniture or equipment
  • Improvements that enhance service delivery environments

This is an ideal opportunity for organisations looking to improve their facilities or create more welcoming, functional spaces for those they support.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, organisations must:

  • Be a registered charity in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland
  • Have an annual turnover of less than £500,000
  • Work wholly or mainly with people experiencing homelessness

The fund is particularly suited to small and medium-sized charities that may struggle to access larger capital funding streams.

Next deadline: 20 June 2026

The scheme runs on a quarterly basis, so if you miss this round, future opportunities will be available throughout the year.
