DPO Centre Opens Applications for Charity and Community Fund – Grants Up to £10,000 Available
VCSE organisations can now apply for grants of up to £10,000 through the DPO Centre’s Charity and Community Fund. This funding aims to help charities and not‑for‑profit groups strengthen their data protection practices, access expert consultancy, and ensure they remain compliant in an increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
With a total fund of £50,000 available, the programme is designed to remove barriers that many VCSE organisations face when navigating data protection requirements, offering access to specialist support that might otherwise be out of reach.
What the Fund Aims to Achieve
The Charity and Community Fund supports organisations to:
- Access subject matter experts and a highly experienced team of data protection professionals
- Reduce uncertainty and risk when managing data protection internally
- Strengthen organisational compliance and reduce the likelihood of regulatory breaches
- Protect reputation and build trust with service users, partners, and funders
- Improve engagement and organisational value through robust, transparent data practices
This initiative recognises that strong data protection isn’t just a legal requirement—it’s a foundation for safe, ethical, and trusted service delivery.
What the Grant Can Cover
Grants can fund up to 80% of total project costs, supporting a wide range of data protection services, including:
