About the Opportunity

Rewilding Youth are recruiting for a Senior / Lead Youth Worker to help lead sessions at Young People Count (YPC)—a youth space built around creativity, connection, and community.

This is not your typical youth work role.

It’s a space where young people aged 11–18 can:

  • Relax and be themselves
  • Build relationships

  • Feel safe, heard, and valued

  • Salary: £26,325 – £28,275 FTE (pro rata)
This role is hands-on, relational, and central to the day-to-day running of the youth provision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading youth sessions, activities, and drop-ins
  • Supporting safeguarding, health & safety, and DBS processes
  • Building positive, trusted relationships with young people
  • Planning and delivering engaging sessions (arts, music, wellbeing, games)
  • Supporting staff and volunteers
  • Managing admin, risk assessments, and records (GDPR compliant)
  • Strengthening links with schools, families, and partners

What They’re Looking For

This role would suit someone who:

  • Has experience working directly with young people
  • Understands safeguarding and youth work practice
  • Is a strong communicator and relationship-builder
  • Brings energy, creativity, and reliability
  • Is proactive, organised, and team-oriented
  • Is genuinely passionate about youth voice and youth-led spaces

Additional Opportunity

There is also a 20-hour Support Worker position available—ideal for those looking to step into youth work or build on existing experience.
