Great funding news for youth-focused organisations

The KFC Youth Foundation is now accepting applications to its Community Grants Programme, offering grants of up to £3,000 per year for up to two years.

The fund is open to youth charities and community interest companies (CICs) across the UK that are working with young people to create safe, supportive environments and positive opportunities for the future.

What kinds of projects will be funded?

Projects should support young people to feel secure, empowered and confident, and align with one or more of the following priorities:

Safe Spaces

Creating safe physical and emotional environments, supported by trusted adults or peers, with strong safeguarding and youth involvement.

Diversionary Activities

Activities designed to reduce risk factors such as antisocial behaviour, school exclusion or substance misuse, particularly when delivered at key times for vulnerable young people.

Life Skills

Programmes that build independence and resilience, including financial skills, food education and employability.

Who can apply?

You may be eligible if your organisation:

  • Is a grassroots charity or CIC
  • Has an annual income under £400,000
  • Works with young people aged 11–25
  • Supports young people living in areas of high deprivation

If demand is high, priority will be given to organisations based in the top 10% most deprived neighbourhoods, as measured by the Index of Multiple Deprivation (IMD).

Key deadline

Application deadline: 27 February 2026 (12 noon)

This funding could be a real boost for organisations delivering vital youth work, especially those providing safe spaces, positive activities and practical life skills in communities that need them most.

If you think this fund could support your work, it’s well worth taking a look – and sharing with other youth organisations in your network.
