VCSE

Building on the conversations, learning and connections made throughout 2025, the Local Offer team will continue visiting coffee mornings, drop-ins, youth groups and community events across the East Riding during 2026.

These visits are an important way for them to listen directly to families. For them to hear what’s working well, where things could be improved, and what information or support would make the biggest difference. They also spend time gathering the views of children and young people, using a short set of accessible questions designed to help them share their experiences in a comfortable and meaningful way.

Keeping the momentum going in 2026
As we move further into 2026, they're keen to keep this momentum going and reach even more families where they already are.

The Local Offer Team are looking for opportunities to attend:

  • Parent carer groups
  • Youth clubs and activity sessions
  • Community drop-ins and coffee mornings
  • Larger community events and local gatherings
Whether your session is small or large, they're happy to be flexible. They can join for part of a session at the beginning or the end or stay for the full duration to chat with families, gather feedback, and share information about the East Riding Local Offer.

Get involved
If you’re involved in organising or supporting events like these, or are in the early stages of planning something for 2026, we would really welcome the opportunity to connect with you. Please email Emma Gray to discuss how we might be able to join your event or session.emma.gray@eastriding.gov.uk

Together, by working alongside VCSE organisations, families and young people, we can all continue to shape and improve the Local Offer so it reflects what really matters to the people who use it.
