Upcoming Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) Event

Families of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 13 and over are invited to attend an upcoming Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) event.

This event is designed to support families as young people begin their journey towards adulthood, offering practical information, guidance and advice on the care, support, education and training options available during this important transition.

What to expect

Families attending the event will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about services and support available as young people move from children’s to adult services
• Speak directly with providers, teams and services from across both children’s and adult services
• Explore education, training and future pathways in one place
• Ask questions and gather information that’s relevant to their own circumstances

Families can attend for all or part of the event, depending on what works best for them.
