HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) Grants are now live on Flexigrant, offering valuable funding for organisations planning to deliver enriching holiday provision for children and young people across the East Riding.


With the Easter holidays starting earlier than usual this year, deadlines are tight and cannot be extended, so early action is strongly encouraged.

Key deadlines

Easter and Annual Grant Deadline:

Thursday 29 January 2026 at 12 noon

Due to the early start of the Easter holidays in March, late submissions will not be accepted.

What funding is available?
Organisations can apply for:

  • Up to £5,000 for Easter provision
  • Up to £70,000 annually for year-round HAF delivery

Funding is available to support a wide range of activities, including:

  • Sport and physical activity
  • Play and drama
  • Cooking and food-based sessions
  • Arts, crafts, music and dance
  • Healthy lifestyle activities
  • Outdoor learning and adventures
What can the funding be used for?

HAF funding is flexible and can be spent on:

  • Management and delivery staff
  • Venue hire
  • Equipment and resources
  • Volunteer expenses
  • Food and refreshments
  • Marketing and promotion
  • Trips and visits
  • Capital resources

All providers must now offer blended childcare, with a mix of HAF-funded places and paid or other funded places available.
