HPCF SEND Alliance Network Meeting

The HPCF SEND Alliance is bringing partners together this February for an important network meeting focused on post-16 transition and preparing for adulthood for children and young people with SEND.

Following the Christmas and New Year period, we hope colleagues have had time to rest and recharge. As we move into 2026, this meeting provides a valuable opportunity to reconnect, collaborate and ensure that the voices of SEND children, young people and their families continue to shape local decision-making.

Focus of the meeting

The meeting on Thursday 5 February will focus specifically on post-16 transition and preparing for adulthood, exploring needs and challenges across:

• Education
• Health
• Social care

This is a crucial stage for SEND young people and their families, and meaningful collaboration across services is essential to improving outcomes.

Strong engagement from key leaders

We are delighted by the high level of interest already shown and are pleased to confirm attendance from a number of senior leaders and decision-makers, including:

• Pauline Turner, Head of Children’s Services, Hull
• Kelly Hare, Head of SEND Statutory Services
• Luke Campbell, Mayor of Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority and holder of the Adults Skills Fund (ASF)

They will be joined by many other heads of service, councillors and stakeholders from across Hull and East Yorkshire, creating a strong platform for shared discussion and influence.

Venue update
Due to the high uptake, the meeting will now take place at the Albemarle Music Centre. We look forward to welcoming everyone to this larger space to support open and productive conversation.
