James Tudor Foundation’s Physical Health Grants Open for UK Applications
The James Tudor Foundation has opened applications for its Physical Health Grants Programme, offering grants of up to £25,000 to support UK charities working to improve physical health outcomes.
This funding opportunity is aimed at organisations delivering evidence-based, specialist healthcare and therapeutic services, particularly where there are unmet needs or barriers to access.
What Does the Funding Support?
The Foundation focuses on physical health, with funding available to support:
1. Evidence-Based Physical Therapies
For people who are:
- Living with degenerative physical conditions
- Living with physical disabilities
- Recovering from life-changing injuries
2. Specialist, Single-Condition Charities
Typically national charities that provide:
- Condition-specific health information
- Nurse-led helplines
- Digital and print health resources
3. Direct Healthcare for Marginalised Communities
Support is available for charities whose sole focus is providing direct healthcare services to marginalised groups.
- Exception: If funding allows, homelessness charities may be considered only if they already operate established mobile healthcare clinics.
4. Air Ambulance Charities
Applications are welcomed from air ambulance charities operating in:
- South West England
- Wales
- Scotland
- Northern Ireland
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, organisations must:
- Be a UK-registered healthcare charity
- Have an annual income below £20 million
- Have at least five years of audited or independently examined accounts
Funding Priorities
Priority will be given to charities that:
- Address unmet physical health needs
- Demonstrate strong sector expertise
- Have a clear, well-defined strategy
- Provide condition-specific information
- Deliver services through qualified specialist professionals
The funding is flexible and can be used to contribute to overall service delivery. In some cases, grants may also be awarded for a specific project.
