Another Way Women’s Foundation Now Accepting Applications

Another Way Women’s Foundation has opened applications for its next round of grant funding, offering vital support to charities and not-for-profit organisations working to improve the lives of women and girls across England and Scotland.

The Foundation is an independent, volunteer-led grant-making charity dedicated to creating a brighter and fairer future for women and girls through financial support, education, empowerment and advancement. It focuses on backing impactful, grassroots work that accelerates gender equality, drives system change and delivers sustainable benefits at both individual and community level.

Who Can Apply?

Applications are open to:

• UK registered charities
• Not-for-profit organisations
• Groups based and working in England or Scotland

Funding is suitable for both early-stage ideas and essential service delivery.

What Funding Is Available?

Organisations can apply for one of two grant types:

Grants of up to £5,000

For projects, initiatives or services that:

• Advance and empower women and girls
• Create positive and sustainable social change
• Improve opportunities, wellbeing or equality for women

This funding is flexible and can support a wide range of activities.

“£1,000 for 1,000 Words” Seed Grants

Small grants designed to:

• Kick-start a new project or service
• Test an idea or pilot an approach
• Help organisations take the first step towards longer-term funding

What Can the Funding Be Used For?

Grants typically support work in two key areas:

Project Support

• Seed funding for pilot or start-up initiatives that demonstrate proof of concept, helping organisations:
• Develop innovative ideas
• Strengthen future funding applications

Move towards sustainability or scale

Services Support

Funding to help organisations:

• Cover essential service delivery costs
• Maintain or strengthen support for women and girls
• Continue frontline work during challenging financial periods

Application Windows – Important Dates

From January 2026, Another Way Women’s Foundation will operate two funding rounds per year:

• January – General applications supporting women and girls in any area
• September – Themed applications focused on a specific area

September 2026 focus area: Sport and Leisure

Deadline for current general applications:

31 January 2026

Another Way Women’s Foundation is particularly supportive of:

• Smaller organisations and grassroots groups
