New Fund to Support Youth Organising Across the UK Launches December 2025

A major new funding opportunity is launching this December to strengthen youth organising across the UK. The Alliance for Youth Organising is introducing the Anchor Grants Fund, offering unrestricted funding to organisations that are helping young people build power, develop leadership skills, and organise for change.

The fund is designed to strengthen, sustain and expand the core work of organisations already supporting youth-led organising.

Who the Fund Will Support

The Anchor Grants Fund is aimed at organisations with a proven track record in supporting youth organising. Eligible applicants will be involved in one or more of the following:

• Providing training, coaching or capacity-building for youth organising groups
• Running organising programmes, political education, or leadership development for young organisers or activists
• Offering resources, tools, advice or guidance that help youth organising groups thrive
• Facilitating networks or coalitions that connect and strengthen youth organising
• Providing specialist support such as legal or communications services to young organisers
• Offering fiscal sponsorship, incubation or infrastructure support for youth-led initiatives

Funding Available

• Grants of up to £40,000 per year, for two years, are available
• Successful applicants will also receive an additional £5,000 to support learning and to provide strategic insight to the Alliance, helping shape future strategy

Funding Priorities

Priority will be given to organisations that:

• Are youth-led
• Support organising in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, or rural/small-town areas of England
• Are led by young people from marginalised or minoritised communities
• Strengthen international solidarity and learning (funding is for UK-based organisations only)
• Engage young people who are new to organising

• Applications close: 26 January 2026
