Music for All — the charity of the UK musical instrument industry — has opened applications for its first 2026 funding round, offering vital support to organisations and individuals bringing music into their communities.

The programme aims to help projects that are developing sustainable, community-focused music education, especially in deprived or marginalised areas. Funding is available for a wide range of groups, including:

  • Schools and educational establishments
  • Community projects and youth groups
  • Charities and non-profit organisations
  • Companies and individuals delivering music activities

To be eligible, applicants must be working within communities that face deprivation or marginalisation, helping local people access meaningful music education and opportunities.


Available Grants

Several types of grants are being offered in this round:

  • Up to £1,500 for groups supporting people with chronic diseases or conditions affecting quality of life
  • Up to £1,500 for organisations working with individuals facing financial hardship
  • £1,000 to £6,000 for youth clubs and similar organisations to support mentoring or coaching for young people outside of formal education. This may include:
  • Studio equipment
  • Software and cloud subscriptions
  • Instruments, cases and amps
  • Audio interface hardware

Additional Support Available


Alongside grants, Music for All is providing:

  • Up to 30 half-size pure tone classical guitars for groups or schools using entry-level half-size acoustic guitars
  • Up to 60 descant recorders suitable for beginners, with Walking in the Air sheet music included

(Please note: recorder cases are not available.) Priority will be given to applicants with the greatest level of need.
