Time for Action 2025
The Yorkshire and Humber Anti-Racism in Sport Group is inviting people from across the region to come together this November to help tackle racism in sport and physical activity. The three-day series will explore how racism shows up in rural, coastal and urban settings, with a practical focus on Active Bystandership.
Event Schedule
Day One: Rurality, Racism and Reality
Tuesday 25 November
Online
A focused discussion on the challenges and experiences of racism in rural areas, and the unique barriers faced by individuals and communities.
Day Two: Waves of Change – Turning the Tide on Racism and Coastal Inequalities
Wednesday 26 November
Hull – Location TBC
An in-person event examining the intersection of race, place and opportunity in coastal communities, and how we can build more inclusive spaces.
Day Three: Celebrate, Learn, Act
Thursday 27 November
Oakwell Stadium, 17 Grove St, Barnsley, S71 1ET
A celebration of progress, learning and leadership with discussions around online abuse, refugees, intersectionality, coastal inequalities and systems leadership in sport.

While each event has a specific focus and may speak to local contexts, all events are open to anyone—from sport and community leaders to volunteers, educators and allies.
