Electrical Safety Fund – 2025 Funding Round Open

Electrical Safety First is now accepting applications for its 2025 Electrical Safety Fund, providing grants to support initiatives that reduce electrical risks in UK homes. Charities, community interest companies (CICs), trusts, and registered not-for-profit organisations are eligible to apply.

Funding Available

Grant size: Up to £5,000 per project

Deadline: 12 October 2025

Location: UK-wide

Eligible Project Categories

  • Product testing and replacement events
  • Raising awareness activities
  • Home safety activities or visits
  • Educational events and workshops

Eligibility for Home Repair & Direct Interventions

For projects involving home repair or direct electrical interventions, households must:

  • Be owner-occupiers unable to afford the required minor electrical work
  • And meet at least one of the following criteria:
    • Live with a child under five years old
    • Live alone or with others and have reached state pension age
    • Live alone or with others and are disabled or chronically ill
    • Live with others who are under 18, disabled, chronically ill, or have reached state pension age

Priority for 2025

This year, priority will be given to projects supporting vulnerable demographics, such as:

  • Translating and sharing safety materials with refugee or migrant communities
  • Developing accessible resources for individuals with additional needs
