Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation Reopens General Fund for Autumn Applications
Applications are open now for eligible registered charities in England, Wales, the Isle of Man, and the Republic of Ireland.
The Albert Gubay Charitable Foundation has reopened its General Fund for autumn, inviting applications from registered charities with an annual expenditure under £10 million. Funding supports organisations delivering vital help to communities in need across the eligible nations.
What the funding covers
Projects must align with one or more of the Foundation’s priorities:
- Victims of modern slavery: facilities and support toward independent living, better mental health, and employment.
- Victims of domestic abuse: emergency safety plus support for related poverty and mental health issues.
- Ex-offenders and families: reintegration, employment support, and help for families affected.
- Homelessness (especially young people): support back to safe, independent living and improved wellbeing.
- Medical research: research that may prevent/slow onset or lessen symptoms of conditions.
- Terminal/life-limiting illness support: hospice care and respite for carers, supporting mental health and goals.
- Drug & substance misuse: rehabilitation and pathways back to independent living and work.
- Intellectual disability support: personal care, job skills, and supported living.
- Care leavers: opportunities to succeed on a par with peers.
- Worship & community outreach: energy-efficient, watertight places of worship with wider community use, especially where buildings are redundant/oversized and outward-facing work is a focus.
- Amateur sport: improving physical and mental health, with a focus on provision for people with disabilities.
- Care for the elderly: quality care for those who cannot afford private care or to continue living at home.
Grant size & discretion
Funding is at the discretion of the Trustees. Previous grants have ranged from £5,000 to £2.25 million.
