England Grassroots Music Projects Invited to Apply for Funding
Arts Council England, in partnership with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, has launched a funding programme to strengthen the grassroots music sector across England.
About the Programme
The Supporting Grassroots Music programme is designed to help artists, bands and music professionals build sustainable careers while also reaching new audiences. Funding is available for organisations such as:
- Live music venues
- Rehearsal and recording studios
- Festivals
- Promoters
- Sector support bodies
Funding Available
Grant size: £1,000 – £40,000
Project length: Up to three years
Eligible costs include:
- Artist and audience development
- Live programming and participatory activity
- Infrastructure improvements
- Touring networks
- Testing innovative approaches
Match funding: Applicants must contribute at least 10% of total project costs (via ticket income, own contribution, or in-kind support).
How to Apply
This is a rolling programme. Applications are reviewed monthly. If your application is submitted after a monthly deadline, it will automatically be considered in the following round.
