Help the Homeless is now accepting applications for its Winter Grants Programme, offering grants of up to £5,000 to support projects that make a real difference in helping homeless people rebuild their lives.

What the Grants Support

Funding is focused on capital projects that create practical pathways for disadvantaged individuals to return to the community. This could include:

• Residential facilities that offer long-term support
• Unlike some funds, this scheme does not cover core running costs, computers, or IT equipment.

Who Can Apply?

UK registered charities with an annual turnover under £500,000

Organisations that provide more than just short-term shelter and instead focus on recovery, stability, and reintegration into society

Why It Matters

Homelessness affects people from a wide range of backgrounds – not only rough sleepers on the streets, but also those without stable housing due to:

• Ill-health
• Leaving prison
• Addictions
• Family breakdown
• Other difficult life circumstances
